Located in the heart of Asheville, NC, Flow Bodyworks has been in operation since August 2012. Its owner, Erin Marie Porter, NC LMBT #12333, is a graduate of the Asheville School of Massage & Yoga and the Thai Institute of Healing Arts in Arlington, Va., the sister school to the world-renowned Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In addition to this foundation for medical Thai Massage, she has learned from various other experienced Thai Massage teachers and continues to seek out opportunities to learn from other teachers with different approaches to this ancient art. Erin is also a certified yoga instructor, having received her 200-hour training at the Asheville Yoga Center, and is a Bikram Yoga certified instructor with 7 years of experience teaching large groups, and has been teaching yoga private one-on-one in her studio since 2012. At Flow Bodyworks, she specializes in therapeutic Eastern massage modalities and Western modalities: Thai Yoga Massage, Thai Foot Reflexology Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release, and crafts a custom mix for her table massages to best serve her clients' individual needs. To further assist clients on their path to greater health and well being, Erin offers clients customized private yoga for individuals, couples, and small groups. And last but not least, she helps couples learn how to relax and nurture their partner with Couples Thai Massage Instruction.
